The Road Trip - Audacious Mile

Some one has said that Tomorrow's life is too late. Live it today, But do we realize!!

How many times you have said this :"My Life is Boring, I need some adventure"

Me: At Least 365*2*10 times in last Two years since the day i started working.

How does it feel to wade the shallow river flowing alongside the beautiful mountains with your friends!!! Oh and Yes along with your Bikes too :P ?? Lying in running water, Resting your head on a small rock listening to Time of your life by GreenDay, Looking at Vast Sky with your vision surrounded by austere green mountains and Just your Bikes.

Me: Oh yes now we are Talking

How does it feel to go into clouds and driving through them?

Me: Oh , come on yaar i have done it many times when i went to HillStations driving it, What's the Big deal???

Addition to the above question: Driving through the clouds on your bikes at the speed of 50 when you can actually feel them and the droplets inside???

Me: :O (Confused Expression) No , never on Bikes, always in car or Bus

How does it feel to drive through Clouds at the height of 3000mt above the sea level on your Bikes climbing one mountain up and down and then the next mountain standing givingg you one more challenge ??

Me: [Confused Expression deepens]

And yes driving through those clouds on a 100mt stretch where on both sides , you have free fall of Kms, Yes!!!! On Both sides, of the Contiguous mountains.

ME: Whattttttttt??? Thats interesting ride on a Bike!!!

How does it feel to do Lots of Masti on the Jungle Mountain roads , where you have Gone out of the main highway and later being told by localites that it is a wild animal area which Includes Leopards !!!!

Me: Ooops!! then while coming back, you must have taken the highwyay

Hehehe Do you think so ;), Its just that we didnt have stops often :P

Me: Hmmmmm!! Thats quite risky if not too much you know , considering the dangerous S curved roads that too while coming down with fear of animals in your mind.

And last but not the least, While driving downhill the tortuous roads ,you get Roadblock because of LandSlide , Fog comes and the visibility reduces to minimum. Adding fuel to the fire, Heavy Rain starts and you have to stop anyhow and clock shows 1900 hours, daylight gone.You find a shop in the middle of nowwhere , where you stop, but he has to close for the day, as he too has to travel to his village.You have to leave that place in rain and Dark and meander through the paths at the speed of 20 downhill.

ME:Oh!!! You could have stuck there badly if any of your machines would have broken???Or anything, Roads must have been damn slippery in rains and that too traveling downhill. Man , You gotta be kidding me!!!

Yes yes we know, That's why the love has grown manifold, when even luck ditched on us, The only one who stood by us was our Bikes and they took us to the road of safety and with loads of teamwork involved. Four bikes travelling at speed of 20 on the trails of each other, Binary system used with horns to convey the messages of coming turns and vehicles as we were traveling on the free fall side of mountains.And worth mentioning the silence of that place, as It was Dead silent (I guess LDF can explain that in better way :p )

That was me(Now) revealing the journey of 4 days to the Me(whom i left here in gurgaon)

Yes , Now Lets have a boring talk about the Trip :p . We left the prosaic life of gurgaon early morning, Reached Kotdwar in afternoon. On the way crossed beautiful road surrounded by feilds, Staright road with very less traffic. So we all touched 100+ there :).
From Kotdwar we reached Lansdowne, after spending some time their, we came back to Kotdwar as there was no room available in Lansdowne. Next day, morning the newspaper shop guy opp to the Hotel told me about Pauri. He said, "Sir Ramneek Jagah hai jaroor jao".

So i took the map from Him and convinced everyone for Pauri (Okie okie PP did, I did'nt as per the afreement ;) ). It was 108 km of mountain road and the guy there told ki "Sir jyaada hojayega Bike pe". But being a typical human being, we ignored it and convinced ourselves to go there. The road was awesome till satpuli. But With lots of curves and it was like driving in heaven. We had Lunch at Satpuli and then asked the way to Pauri.

The localites there told us to take the Jungle route as the construction was going on the highway. So we took their suggestion and started the journey. We drove uphill till 3-4 Kms and then downhill to a Solid Iron bridge and a beautiful river.
There We asked the way from a official Jeep and he told us to take right from the bridge and he told sir the way is very good and beautiful but it is Jungle. But me and Ap ignored it.

The initial 3-4 kms was very bouncy road and as we were going uphill and there were few S curved roads with inclination of 30-40 degrees (Yes not exaggerating). But somehow we gathered all the courage and moved on. After reaching at least 20Km uphill the road was very narrow and it was very scary. The road there was just enough for the car and it started drizzling. We took shelter in a small shed. After leaving that place, the journey was again downhill and it was Stunning Beauty. Similary we crossed at least 3 mountains going uphill and downhill and reached Pauri finally.

The conversation and expressions described at the start, are the part of this journey going to pauri and coming down :)

Pauri is a non commercialized hill station , where you can see longest range of snow covered Himalaya.

But the Adrenaline rush we had on the way going up and coming down leaves all other experienced meager in front of it.

This was undoubtedly the best trip of my life (Not Just because i reached home safely) , But because the feeling of ennui that was created because of continuous working was completely gone. This trip had everything in it , the excitement, risk loads of adventure. It was complete masala movie.

And the smile we had on our faces when we reached back home was none less than the smile of someone who had just conquered the world or won an Oscar (cant say nobel prize as nowadays even obama gets it :P )

So here 's the question that everyone around me has been pestering me with: "How is E72 better than E71".

And yes my browsing history and my wallpapers from last 1 month has definitely aggravated the intensity of that question.

As we still have not got hands on this phone, so we should let these facts do the talking and pray that nokia fulfills the promise of launching it in the 3rd quarter which is about to end in next ten days.

Using Arrays.asList

After migrating to Websphere 6.1 i tried to use the jdk5 feature.
I was testing this piece of code :

String[] strArray = new String[] { "Java", "test", "And", "New",
"Support", "javaJava" };

List l = Arrays.asList(strArray);
List temp = new ArrayList();
for(String str : l){
if(str.equalsIgnoreCase("Java")) {
temp.add(str);
}
}
l.removeAll(temp);

And i was getting Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException.

This is mainly because the Arrays.aslist returns a java.util.Arrays$ArrayList which is an immutable list. You cannot add to it and you cannot remove from it.

Arrays$ArrayList does not override remove(int) so the method is called on the superclass, AbstractList, which is what is throwing the exception because this method is not implemented on that class.

So to come over this, there is a nice little trick .
Use this instead:
List l = new ArrayList(Arrays.asList(strArray));

And whoaa it works :)

iCon ( Steve Jobs ) Book Review

We expect our heroes to be flawed. Heroes without Flaws would not be successful. Yet in the end its not the flaws we need to remember , but the achievements.

The book ends with this note , perfect way to describe a real hero or in this case Steve jobs who has never been really popular with his co-workers but there is something about him a never ending real energy booster behind him, which carries him to the extent.

About steve jobs i can write forever but as this post is about the book written by JS Young with William simon, the books starts of pretty well with the young steve jobs looking for opportunities, his alliance with Wozniak and his early romance life. I had seen movie Pirates of silicon valley . So i had pretty much idea about the Steve jobs early life.

But after that this book goes to the complete negative shade. Although every knows that Jobs had the unfortunate propensity to belittle other people or sometimes he was more vituperative than required. But the author took this aspect and continued the book till end.

The book introduces some new characters that came in steve's life and then same cliched that you have read in earlier chapter, that how steve had fights with that character and then how he came out of it.

Most of the times author goes on explaining the other secondary character more ,that it seems that its not the book about steve jobs, infact about some other random guy whom you are least interseted in.

And the most important point about this book is that the author has completely skipped the part of steve jobs and bill gates dispute. That might be because author wanted to stay away from the main controversies.

But on the positive note the story or the character of Steve jobs is what binds you to the book. Right from apple-I , apple-II to Mac and PIXAR and the iPod's, the way Jobs got success with his contagious zeal and confidence in himself is really human and just like a real hero.
The way he handled the slander and opprobium when he was out of the Apple and struggling to get success in his new ventures was inspirational.

He is not a perfect hero which we would like to imitate or idolise, but he is infact a iconoclast, who
proved that conventional ways are not the only way to success. To move in the direction where your heart want to, will also leads to the way of success.

So here is the steve jobs who always followed his heart, dumped people, most of the times grandiloquent, but ubiquitous in each and every product that ever came from his leadership, thats why all the products from Apple are state of art.

And he is not done yet. At the age of 50 or more, he is still young , with the same zeal that was behind Apple-I , he is carrying apple forward and the book (not written but understood )tells us that the best is still to come yet.

Ever faced a problem where there is an exception generated in your code which is caught and the catch block executes.
Now if some statement in catch or finally block gets an exception then what?
I guess in java behaviour is that the latest exxception takes over and the trace from the old exceptions is lost.
I have faced this problem in the bigger support projects, So while looking out for a permanent solution to this, I cam across an article from Joshua Bloch on some updates in java 7 about handling this issue.

Its been long time since i am trying to write something new , but was not getting enough time or any good thought, or this job might have sucked out any creativity left in me , or may be i was so involved in work because i love my work, sitting in office working late hours to achieve the deadlines set . Trip to murudeshwara and Gokarna

We were planning a trip to gokarna from past 3-4 months, but every time we decided to go there, there was some issue. But finally we decided and planned a trip to gokarna and murudeshwara. We booked our tickets through sky bird’s website. They have sleeper bus service from Bangalore to murudeshwara.There is not much information available on where to book the bus tickets online , so we faced some problems but did find lot of websites after lot of searching and will tell them in my next blog. Anyways it takes around 12 hour journey from Bangalore to Murudeshwara. The bus stopped in Kumta to unload some stuff, murudeshwara is around 1-2 hour journey from there. We had tea and biscuits over there. But the most important thing I forgot to mention is the beautiful sceneries on the way. It was amazing hill views and green forests on the way till Kumta. Anyways There is one of the tallest Shiva statue in murudeshwara and we can see it from 2-3 km before. We thought that bus directly goes to murudeshwara and that is last stop of that bus and it’s a big tourist place. But there was a big confusion, and I realized that we have left temple behind and immediately I ran to conductor and asked him. He told they have crossed murudeshwara and now we have to get down at next village and take a local bus or matador (don’t remember what exactly they call those mini buses). So we got down at next village and boarded that mini bus which directly goes to murudeshwara. Local people were really helpful and they do understand at least some Hindi. So we finally reached murudeshwara. We reached around 9 am and went to temple. The view of the place was really awesome. it was one of the best place i have ever visited in my life. looks like this is still not famous among tourists and because of that , the place still has very clean beach and the virgin beauty. There is one sea view restaurant where food is really cheap and taste good. Dont miss that place that is must visit and is just outside the temple's exit. just check out some more pics over there.

After enjoying at beach we decide to move to next destination Gokarna.

We took a bus to hunnavar and again Kumta came in the way. From Hunnavar bus stand tehre is good frequency of bus to gokarna. We heard about om beach and though it might be just another beach and we were not much excited about the place .We reached gokarna around 2 pm and from there we checked about any local transport to Om beach or half moon beach . But to our surprise there was no public transport and to go there either you have your own vehicle or you have to take a Auto. Auto people charge flat 100 rs to take you to Om beach. And the view there was really ultimate. The auto took us uphill and the view from the way to Om beach was really awesome and even better than what we saw at murudeshwara. Just check out the view in the picture and beleive me the picture does not even decribe half the beauty of that place. We reached a place from where we have to walk down to the Om beach from a sea shore kind of hills. The beach there is in the shape of OM and after visiting that place, you will realise that somewhere god is there who has made this beautiful place and after creating this beautiful place he has left his signature in the form of beach. May be god might not have thought that much but after tseeing the beach in Om shape and the view from that hill was really beautiful. There are some beach side restaurants where you can have food and if you want to booze and relax on the beach side, this is the best place on earth. The beahc side restaurant serve you everything from kingfisher to pizza to rotis. But dont try north indian food over there as it was not really good. But the place is must visit with friends. and you can even spend two days there, but we had return bus tickets at 7.30 from gokarna, we came back back by same auto who was waiting for us from 2-3 hours and boarded the bus back to banglore. But overall the trip to gokarna and murudeshwara is must but you if you are planning then plan for at least two days , because there is one more beach Half moon beach ans those restauraunts at OM beach provide you some shacks where you can spend night near the beach itself.

Grid Theory Of Confusion

Read This to confuse yourself :

Life is full of twists and turns. At every point you will get two ways, one will be right and one will be wrong. You have to choose the right path to move forward. Everyone must have heard this from many sources which includes parents, grand parents, famous (or some sick emotional) Bollywood movies. But what does this actually mean?

Einstein gave a theory of relativity that we can apply to various aspects of life. But how to decide what is right and what is wrong. Sometimes, in fact many times what seems good and beneficial for one person will be worst case scenario for other one.
Similarly when we are trying to choose one path out of two, if we already know that this path is good one, then there would have been no problems in Life. So its easy to give that statement but practically I dont think there is something called right and wrong. Some things are right according to one persons perspective and wrong according to the other one. So again we ome to the same problem: that there lie two paths in front of me and both are equally tempting , both have their pros and cons but again I can not decide or Predict which one will be better for ME. Explaining our confusion is the Grid theory of Confusion which I had think of to solve my case(yeah confusion!!) but sometimes it adds to my confusions but this confusion is not comparable to the actual confusions I have. But l not confusing you anymore I present you the GRID theory of confusions.

GRID THEORY OF CONFUSION

The problem was related to the electricity passing through a grid of squares and to choose the shortest path or required path with a condition that it should not cross the line of path it has already travelled or cutting its own path.

Now in that problem when the current reaches any of the edge point of the square, it has two paths in front of it. Both paths at that point look similar and problem is which path to choose to get the solution.

Now I think most people would have understood how this grid theory of confusion related to our real life situation [I know some people might think that this is totally crap, But I will tell you one

thing that, Even I think the same :)]

Anyways Sometimes I think that God has designed us in such a way that he has only decided the starting point and end point, and at each and every point of our life, he has given us a choice, and the way our life goes on depends on what we have chosen previously.
So u always chose one way and leave the other one.

Hence according to grid theory, once you have chosen the path, you will go to next level and again the problem is exactly the same. Again you have two ways to choose from. This is our life!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But the choice you made, decides your path. Now the grid theory signifies the individual life, but we live in a society and here this GRID Goes Three dimensional, grids connecting with each other and crossing each other, hence the choice you made will not only effect your grid, infact it will effect others grids also, which proves that our grid theory of confusion can be applied to various real life situations.
So what is the conclusion of this theory, it has confused me more than I was before :)
But then there is one more thing that I know now which is : If people say that Everything is already decided in our life by the god and some people say that they themselves write their luck and their life. They both are correct
This theory gives us a practical solution to both of these sayings.
Yes , may be some supernatural power has already made a super program of these grids where we have a entry point and exit point with lot of possible ways to choose from which tells us that we decide our own fate. And our grid effecting the other grids also.

If we can write a program for the solution of two dimensional grid solution, then I guess that supernatural power could have written that complex grid program also :)

So finally the only conclusion that I reach to is that Ultimately We are the one to write our own fate and luck, with our wok or intelligence to choose a more favorable path to the exit point of the GRID. Still confusing? Cant help even I am confused !!!!!!!!!!!

Why is the media here so negative?
Why are we in India so embarrassed to recognize our own strengths, our achievements?
We are such a great nation. We have so many amazing success stories but we refuse to acknowledge them. Why?
We are the first in milk production.

We are the second largest producer of wheat.
We are the second largest producer of rice.
Look at Dr. Sudarshan , he has transferred the tribal village into a self-sustaining, self-driving unit.
There are millions of such achievements but our media is only obsessed in the bad news and failures and disasters. I was in Tel Aviv once and I was reading the Israeli newspaper. It was the day after a lot of attacks and bombardments and deaths had taken place. The Hamas had struck. But the front page of the newspaper had the picture of a Jewish gentleman who in five years had transformed his desert into an orchid and a granary. It was this inspiring picture that everyone woke up to. The gory details of killings, bombardments, deaths, were inside in the newspaper, buried among other news. In India we only read about death, sickness, terrorism, crime.
Why are we so NEGATIVE? Another question: Why are we, as a nation so obsessed with foreign things? We want foreign T. Vs, we want foreign shirts. We want foreign technology. Why this obsession with everything imported. Do we not realize that self-respect comes with self-reliance? I was in Hyderabad giving this lecture, when a 14 year old girl asked me for my autograph. I asked her what her goal in life is.
She replied: I want to live in a developed India . For her, you and I will have to build this developed India . You must proclaim. India is not an under-developed nation; it is a highly developed nation. Do you have 10 minutes? Allow me to come back with a vengeance. Got 10 minutes for your country? If yes, then read; otherwise, choice is yours.

YOU say that our government is inefficient. YOU say that our laws are too old. YOU say that the municipality does not pick up the garbage. YOU say that the phones don't work, the railways are a joke, The airline is the worst in the world, mails never reach their destination. We are still talking of the same YOU. YOU who can respect and conform to a foreign system in other countries but cannot in your own. You who will throw papers and cigarettes on the road the moment you touch Indian ground. If you can be an involved and appreciative citizen in an alien country, why cannot you be the same here in India ?

Once in an interview, the famous Ex-municipal commissioner of Bombay , Mr. Tinaikar , had a point to make. 'Rich people's dogs are walked on the streets to leave their affluent droppings all over the place,' he said. 'And then the same people turn around to criticize and blame the authorities for inefficiency and dirty pavements. What do they expect the officers to do? We sit back wanting to be pampered and expect the government to do everything for us whilst our contribution is totally negative.
We expect the government to clean up but we are not going to stop chucking garbage all over the place nor are we going to stop to pick a up a stray piece of paper and throw it in the bin.
We expect the railways to provide clean bathrooms but we are not going to learn the proper use of bathrooms.
We want Indian Airlines and Air India to provide the best of food and toiletries but we are not going to stop pilfering at the least opportunity.
This applies even to the staff who is known not to pass on the service to the public. When it comes to burning social issues like those related to women, dowry, girl child! and others, we make loud drawing room protestations and continue to do the reverse at home.

Our excuse? 'It's the whole system which has to change, how will it matter if I alone forego my sons' rights to a dowry.' So who's going to change the system? What does a system consist of ? Very conveniently for us it consists of our neighbours, other households, other cities, other communities and the government. But definitely not me and YOU. When it comes to us actually making a positive contribution to the system we lock ourselves along with our families into a safe cocoon and look into the distance at countries far away and wait for a Mr.Clean to come along & work miracles for us with a majestic sweep of his hand or we leave the country and run away. Like lazy cowards hounded by our fears we run to America to bask in their glory and praise their system. When New York becomes insecure we run to England . When England experiences unemployment, we take the next flight out to the Gulf.

When the Gulf is war struck, we demand to be rescued and brought home by the Indian government. Everybody is out to abuse and rape the country. Nobody thinks of feeding the system. Our conscience is mortgaged to money.

The article is highly thought inductive, calls for a great deal of introspection and pricks one's conscience too.... I am echoing J. F. Kennedy 's words to his fellow Americans to relate to Indians..... 'ASK WHAT WE CAN DO FOR INDIA AND DO WHAT HAS TO BE DONE TO MAKE INDIA WHAT AMERICA AND OTHER WESTERN COUNTRIES ARE TODAY' Lets do what India needs from us.

I dont understand this IT industry at all, from outer world this seems to be the HI-FI or sci-Fi advanced industry
But in this industry where we work on client's provided desktop either on citrix or vpn, ITS damnnnnnn slow man. You cant even imagine, its like doing advanced development on a P-III system. and sone pe suhaaga is our WAS 6.1 server integrated with RAD 7. yaar even if we do some small change in a file , it will take hell lot of time to publish and on this kind of system it takes at least 15 mins from one page submit to other web page.
Tell me whether its possible to develop any application in this kind of environment ????
I hope our onsite manager reads this :( and try to solve these issues
as it is 12 pm IST and still in office trying to integrate the first build of our project

Finally after delays, postponing and all those stuff, i joined keane gurgaon(here after will refer as Mall City) on 5th. Its in Unitech Trade Center, one of the finest building over here in a fulll Mall city. Its been refered as a mall city because u will hardly find a normal place over here, look around and u will see some malls or a 10-20 stories apartments or else some bunglowas
First three days were the induction program, then one and half days of the soft skill training.
package is 2.75 lpa and HR team is really cool over here. But due to merger, revision of all the policies are going on so may be next year onwards the cool atmosphere of the gurgaon office might change because of some strict caritor policies. But they have already merged all the departments and have decided the managers for the merged departments.
Over all its cool over here but I am still feeling bad for all the friends who havent got DOJ so far.

But guys one more thing i would like to point out that the oppurtunities are good over here and they have the appraisal reviews every quarter(from jan 2008 onwards ) so we have a very good growth rate over here and the domain are yet to be decided, most probably it will be Java or Dotnet. And even they are training ECE people in Java and Dotnet.

Accomodation is very good over here , they are also providing complimentary breakfast and u will also get the complimentary lunch for first three days of induction.

The last walk of the maestro on england pitches and the crowd giving him standing ovation , just cant imagine that the next time india will tour england without their lifeline . But time goes on, some more players will come, they will shine , may be outplay these stars at some level but the memories of our childhood is bundled with the sports life of these players and the impact he left on our lives is just too much. I just pray that somehow sachin becomes Elves of that R.R. Tolkiens LORD of THE RINGS or at least live life like ARAGORN who had energy and looks of 35 even at the age of 87, and then plays at least for the rest of MY life :) .

I gave more autographs than sachin :)

In my senti story of waitin for joining date , joined a school to teach and here started the main fight. I dont even remember how many teachers would i have troubled but i think god has answered their call and made me teacher for these days and these students are taking revenge on their behalf. every1 is shouting , someone mite be sleeping and the worst one is someone trying to stop the fan with hands inside the class. its terrible to be out out there but still enjoyable:)

But here comes the autograph story, exams started and the supervising teacher has to sign on each and every sheet and with average 10 sheets minimum per student and with 35 students in per class minimum , have to sign at least 350 times and then similar procedure in second half , so i signed around 1000 times , doesnt that make me a celebrity too :) signing or lets say giving autograph at least a 1000 times a day makes me a star , even sachin or SRK wouldnt have given more than 1000 autographs per day :)

First day itself, we queued for around an hour to get the current tickets as it was already houseful. I dint expect anything special from the movie as it would have been the same story of a guy who with his speeches and stuff will do an impossible task to make a underdog team win the world cup [imagine Zimbabwe winning the cricket world cup, cant give any xample from hockey as m not much into it like fellow indians [:(] ] . But still just because i missed swadesh and paheli of shahrukh, which i regretted later, BUT i will tell you that with the same story same masala , same patriotism , Director and SRK has crafted a masterpiece this time. this movie is so perfect in its scenes, no such background drama as usual which runs for 1 hour and tells u that hero is this that, no dancy numbers, only sport sport sport and sport and the enthusiasm that they are able to create is just unimaginable. The hockey match scenes are so perfectly shot that it really looks like real hockey being played out there , and why not as i have heard that director has taken 4-5 state level players in this movie rather than taking actors and you will notice that with their meager acting skills but they look so natural in the movie and their roles are so well crafted that you will just love all the players of that team except for that villain one :p . But chak de is a movie in which you have fifty pc scens in which you can whistle clap enjoy, its full of enthu patriotism and specially one of the best roles ever played by SRK and its not a must watched movie but in fact its a Two or three times must watch movie. SRK has shown that he can make a hit movie without running on a road with open arms for a heroine :p.

jus now saw a message in my cell phone , Sanjay dutt sentenced to 6 yr rigorous imprisonment from tada court. hmmmmm at one point the decision given by court is perfectly allright, but the way sanju has changed in these last few years and made a special space in hearts of all of us, we will surely miss him lot. The way munna bhai revolutionised the perspective of gandhigiri and those laugh riots of munna bhai, i m sure, m gonna miss munna bhai a lot, jus shocked after hearing this news so dont know wat to write but one more thing court should have taken into account that they are sending over 100 crores rs along with sanju and many more small people and artistes employed in his next ventures, they are also putting them to a worse position, may be court could have given him at least some time to finish off his current projects, lets see wats gonna happen, may be lady luck will favour sanju baba again this time, can just hope

somewhere in the march 2006, a storm came into the life of a person name ridhav, who was not even sure that he wil be getting a valid degree from the university that was facing floods, aicte, UGC, demolition together. But then came the ray of hope when our placement sir announced that we l be going for a off campus for the company called Allfon, no one ever heard of that name but it was lookin like the only oppurtunity at that time, so everyone tried . and then came the day, for which i was waiting for last twenty years or so, studied for around 18 years for this day only, hmmmm got d job, and surprise was this that our placement off told me that i will be getting higher package, not bad, i was on the top of world. then came the caritor, i tried for it because it was a good company and still is {after aquisition of keane}. the day was 28th april as told by friends as i have a bad memory in remembering dates. so enjoyed april2006 to may 2007 as much that u cant even imagine, got everything whatever i wanted, probably the luckiest person of the world :).
then started the wait for joining date, may passsed no information, people around u r gettin placed, joining companies, by that time got joining date for allfon but with 2 years bond, so thought should wait for a month , by then caritor will give joining, but may passed no calls, june passed no calls, tried for some off campus infact only one but was rejected due to over confidence :( accept it . So i thought that they will give in july but again july passed , no calls. then finally got a call that joining will be in september or october. hooooooooo this is limit, testing of patience,. as in our dept we dint even had subjects for last sem , so we guys are free from around january.so this long wait is still not ending, hope there must be something very good reason behind this wait too. only time can tell :)

The Surprise
Hey where is d cd??? S asked,
H replied may be in shelf or closet , den go and check it out whether its there or not, S ordered as usual :).
But why why??, again h said,”I kept it safe, I remember”.
But S was completely in mood to irritate H, anyhow H managed to change d topic and some other conversation started. H thought he jus managed to not let S irritate him, but S had something else in mind.
Then later H didn’t wait for d call and slept and the cell was in silent mode too. But S kept calling again and again but Khadoos H was sleeping and was in other dream world.
But S didn’t give up, and around 3.30 am H came out of his dreams for a minute and read the messages and number of missed calls-???
“Missed calls still in two digits” , that’s all H could say later :). But just when H was reading messages and was thinking what to say, again S called.
“I was so tired that I fell asleep the moment I hit bed”, H said firmly but S was in different mood today.
“okie I asked you about where is that cd , did you find out?”
“hey come on sleep yar, its 3’o clock yar, I know its in closet, will give you tomorrow” H said irritatedly, “ why you want to know about CD now?”
“No,I want to know now only, tell me which cd it is ?” S said obstinately.”whether it is moser baer or sony?”.
“But why now?”
“Because I want to buy that brand cd only in future, as it has longer life”, S said.
By that time H was irritated too much, but still held his nerve and said “sleep yar, we will talk tomorrow and I will let you know which brand it is , now sleep” and hanged up.
But S had made up her mind that she will irritate H until he shouts and finally that happened.
“how far is the closet? Cant you go and check out which brand Cd it is? Please for me “
S insisted again and again for next five minutes.
Finally H gave up his patience and yelled” okie, you don’t want me to sleep,okie don’t let me, where the hell is closet, I will not sleep now, you want this only na”, H switched on light, his comp and opened the closet, and again yelled okie I will tell you the brand of CD now itself and will not sleep” H said with half opened eyes but high frequency voice.
Again S said quietly “ can you see any carry bag there”.
“no, I cant see anything”
“check again na please, if anything is there”
“no, there is nothing I told you na”, H yelled again.
“please check it out again , if there is anything new”
Now H realizes something but still because he was half asleep , so he could not understand anything, so he opened his eyes completely and looked out whether any carry bag is there and he jus said
“F********************************”
There was a T-shirt there , a new one , which H saw some days back and wanted to buy but he did not. A big smile came on the face of H and he did not knew what to say , whether to apologise for yelling or to express shock over this surprise or to think, “how did it get there ? how did you place it here, and why did you bought it?” H said in lower pitch voice now. S said sweetly “ just aise hi, man kiya”.
“But who kept it in my closet?”
“Gave it to A, he kept it there”
“But A didn’t came to my house today”
“no, he came when you were out, ask your roomies” S said again.
“oh shittttt, I am really sorry I yelled at you, jus I got irritated, i didnt knewww" but H couldnot stop smiling for the next 2.30 hrs. he was just too happy , and why not he had the reason :)

15th august 1947, the momentous day in life of every indian,the day we got the freedom from english.The man behind our freedom was definately MOHANDASS KARAMCHAND GANDHI,who made this day possible in life of indians,THE ONLY LEADER AFTER SHRI KRISHNA WHO WAS ABLE TO MAKE THE WHOLE INDIA DANCE ON HIS TUNES.
Whatever people say about him today, but the truth is only gandhi was able to unite the india when it was required.Lot of freedom fighters tried non-violence as a way to get independence but finally each and everyone from Rani Lakshmi bai to Bhagat Singh was betrayed by one of there fellows(indian).The main reason is that the mentality of indian people is different compare to other countries who used power to win their independence.That's why all freedom fighters who believed in fighting for our freedom could not even join 10% of population with them. But gandhi understood the situation,and the need of the hour was to find a way to unite all the people together, that was non-violent protests.and also the ruling were british,who were not completely autocratic.
So gandhi find a mid way and united the people together.Now a days even in some management institutes they see gandhi as perfect manager,who perfectly knew how to manage his people.
But inspite of following gandhiji, young gen criticises him a lot for some of his policies,but they dont see that he achieved the result,which no one was able to achieve.The point is, no one is perfect,and gandhiji was also human being.he sacrificed everything ,from the president post to the moment of india's independence only because of partition.Gandhiji stayed at Haidari Mansion in Calcutta from August 13th to September 7th ,1947. Gandhi was there in Calcutta striving for peace among the muslims and hindus in the riot torn city, even on the momentous day of Independence.
So on this independence day let us pay tribute to our father of nation who made this day possible for all of us
